My personal assumption is the same as yours, that it&#039;s the &quot;iPhone OS Deployment Target&quot; setting that counts. One thing that supports this theory is that if you set &quot;iPhone OS Deployment Target&quot; to 2.x then you can&#039;t build for multiple architectures (i.e. armv6 and armv7). If you try the app will be rejected upon upload by iTunes Connect. I&#039;m assuming that there&#039;s other magic as well that was added to 3.0 which can&#039;t be taken advantage of if you build for a deployment target of 2.x.</description>
