That color screen would beat the pant off the kindle. I think Apple will try and use the current iPhone applications on the tablet to make it more appealing. However, it would mean having to refocus my energy and learning on a slightly different SDK which, for the solo or very small dev shop, means being stretched very thin. @Paul: that would be a bad thing? :)

I think that Apple would have an ARM emulator on the iTablet to run these applications. Requiring developers to recompile their iPhone applications would significantly limit the number of applications that would be available at launch.
